Free Website Poll: Embed a Poll on Your Site or Blog

A poll is a short vote built around a single question. It is perfect when you want to know what your blog readers prefer, pick the topic of your next article, settle a team decision or collect opinions from a class or an audience. With DarmoweSondy.pl you create the poll in a few minutes and copy an embed code to paste into your own website – for free.

What should our next guide be about?

  • Creating your first survey
  • Analyzing the answers
  • Sharing your survey

This is only sample content, not a live vote – no answers are collected on this page. Use one precise question and answers that are easy to tell apart.

How do you add a poll to your website?

  1. Create an account, confirm your email address and create a poll.
  2. Type the question and the answer options.
  3. Match the colors, font and width of the poll to your website.
  4. In the settings, choose who can see the results, then publish the poll.
  5. Open the Share tab and copy the generated embed code.
  6. Paste the code where your website editor lets you add HTML and iframes.

In WordPress you can use the “Custom HTML” block, as long as your user role and your site’s configuration allow iframes to be saved. If your editor strips the code, share a plain link to the poll instead. Most other website builders and content management systems have a similar embed or HTML block; the poll is loaded in an iframe, so your page has to allow iframes.

How do you write a good poll question?

  • Ask about one thing. “Which topic would you like next?” works; “Which topic and which format would you like?” does not.
  • Make the options distinct. Answers should not overlap, and together they should cover the likely choices. Add “Other” or “No opinion” if you need them.
  • Stay neutral. Avoid loaded wording such as “Don’t you agree that…”.
  • Keep it short. A handful of answer options is easier to read on a phone than a long list.

Who sees the results, and who can vote?

You decide whether results are always visible, visible only after voting, or hidden from respondents. You can also set an end date, a response limit or a password. Keep in mind that limiting repeat voting in the browser is not the same as verifying a voter’s identity.

Test the embedded poll before you go live

Try the poll on a phone and on a computer. Make sure the question and the submit button are visible and that the results appear the way you set them up. The embed code adjusts the height of the frame automatically, and embedded polls do not show ads.

Poll embedding FAQ

Do visitors need an account to vote?

No. Visitors vote without registering, and we do not store their IP addresses with their answers.

Can I use the poll without embedding it?

Yes. Every poll also has its own link and a QR code you can download, and the Share tab offers social sharing buttons.

Is it free?

Yes. Creating a poll and embedding it on your website is free.

Can I change the look of the poll?

Yes. In the Design tab you can choose a ready-made theme or set your own colors, fonts, corner roundness, width and logo, and watch the result in the preview.
