Help Center and FAQ: Surveys, Polls and Live Quizzes

Here you will find answers to the most common questions. If something is missing, write to us at [email protected].

Joining a live quiz or poll

  1. On your phone, open the join page – or scan the QR code on the presenter’s screen.
  2. Type the 6-digit code shown on the screen.
  3. Enter a nickname and tap “Join”. Watch the screen – the questions appear when the host starts.

You do not need an account or an app. A browser on a phone or computer is enough.

What if the code does not work?

Check that you typed all 6 digits. Every session has a new code, and the code stops working when the session ends.

What if my nickname is already taken?

Nicknames must be unique within a session. Choose another one or use the suggestion, for example “Sam2”.

My screen went dark or I refreshed the page. Did I lose my place?

No. Go back to the same page in the same browser – your phone remembers your nickname and your points. If you join while a question is running, you start from the current question.

I did not have time to answer.

Once the time is up you can no longer answer that question. An answer that has been sent cannot be changed.

A message says the host removed me from the session.

The host can remove a participant whose nickname is inappropriate. You can join again with a different nickname.

Creating surveys and polls

After you register and confirm your email address, you can create a poll (one question), a survey (several questions on one page) or a multi-page survey. You can start from a template. The builder has 10 question types, from single choice to a table with a Likert scale.

How do I publish a survey and share it?

A survey is available at its link only after you click “Publish”, and you can publish once your email address is confirmed. The Share tab gives you the link, a QR code you can download and an embed code for your own website.

What can I change in the settings?

  • Settings – end date, response limit, access password, whether respondents can see the results, and a redirect after submitting.
  • Design – ready-made themes, your own colors, fonts and logo.

Running a live quiz or poll

  1. Choose “Live” in the menu and create a quiz or a poll. Add your questions and save.
  2. In the Run tab, open the screen link on the computer connected to the projector and click “Start session”.
  3. Scan the remote’s QR code with your phone – you can control the session without logging in.
  4. When the participants have joined, click “Start”. After each question, show the results and move on.

Can I change the questions during a session?

You can save changes, but they only apply to the next session. A running session keeps the questions as they were when it started.

Someone has an inappropriate nickname. What can I do?

Open the list of participants on the remote and click “Remove”. The nickname disappears from the screen and the leaderboard.

The screen link reached the participants. What now?

In the Run tab, click “Generate new links”. The previous screen and remote links stop working.

How many people can take part?

Up to 2,000 people in one session.

Results and export

You will find a survey’s results in the Results tab: charts, averages, NPS, Likert tables and open answers. The Responses tab shows individual submissions. You can download a CSV file with text labels (for Excel) or with numeric codes and a codebook (for SPSS, R and other statistics software).

The results of live quizzes and polls are in the Results tab of each quiz, separately for each session: the leaderboard, the distribution of answers and each person’s answers. The CSV file contains the place, nickname, points, chosen answers and answer times. We keep session results for 12 months, so download the CSV if you want to keep them longer.

Account and notifications

  • The confirmation email did not arrive – check your spam folder or click “Resend link” in the panel.
  • I forgot my password – use the password reset.
  • Notifications about new responses – set them in your account settings: once a day, after every response, or not at all.
  • Deleting your account – do it in the account settings. It deletes your surveys, quizzes and all collected responses.

Privacy and reporting violations

Survey responses are anonymous – we do not store respondents’ IP addresses or device identifiers. In live quizzes and polls we store the participant’s nickname and answers, also without an IP address. See the privacy policy for details.

Does a survey break the law or the terms of service? Use the “Report a violation” button below the survey, or write to [email protected]. The terms of service explain what is not allowed.
